Enhancing the Lives of Lexington Seniors

Supporting a vibrant, active senior community with meaningful connections, engaging activities and comprehensive resources.

What We Do

We bridge the gap in funding for the Lexington Senior Centers, ensuring seniors have access to well-equipped facilities, engaging programs and a welcoming community.

Enriching Lives

Friends of Lexington Senior Centers provides specialized activities—like concerts by the Lexington Philharmonic and classes on using social media—that aren’t available otherwise. Our goal is to create a vibrant, engaging space where seniors connect, thrive, and build meaningful friendships.

Bridging Resource Gaps

When traditional funding falls short, we step in with vital resources like upgraded exercise equipment, digital resources, therapeutic programs and more. We’re here to provide what seniors need for a healthier, happier life.

Building Community and Belonging

We believe in fostering a strong community where seniors feel safe and valued. Through social events and enrichment classes that support the offerings of the Lexington Senior Center, we’re creating spaces that support connection, purpose, and shared experiences for all.

Just one more reason to celebrate Lexington living, our senior centers are appealing, accessible and buzzing with activity!

About Us

The Friends of the Lexington Senior Centers help by catching little things that slip through the cracks in operating budgets.

For example, we help maintain supplies for art and music studios, help make sure exercise equipment is in good working order and provide other supplies to help keep seniors active and creative.

With our help, these well-stocked shelves encourage camaraderie and conversation — and make sure important items such as emergency medical supplies and equipment don’t run low.

We purposely chose a symbol of community—a friendship quilt—to visually represent our mission. We believe in the power of friends helping friends.
