Susan Bachner, MA, OT, FAOTA (retired) worked for more than 50 years as an occupational therapist to provide clinical and consultation services for people facing physical, mental and cognitive challenges. Susan’s home adaptations consulting business (2000-2017) was dedicated to creating environments to promote safety, accessibility, comfort and social participation utilizing universal design principles. In 2014, Susan was the winner of the National Association of Home Builders’ “Home for Life Award” that utilized Universal Design for a couple choosing to age-in-place.
